Beta version — October 2026.
Account details (name, email), the player's date of birth, tournaments, results, rankings, training plans, reflections, comments, chat messages and uploaded videos. Reports and automatically flagged messages are preserved with evidence for safeguarding review, even if an original group message is deleted.
Only the player's account and the people invited into that player's closed group (parents, coaches). Reflections are shared by link only when the player chooses to share them. Public LTA ranking lists are cached so everyone can see field positions.
Group chat and reflection comments are visible to everyone in the player's group. Team members can also send direct messages. Every direct conversation involving the player — both sent and received messages — is automatically visible to all linked parents. Other direct conversations are visible to their two participants; reported or automatically flagged messages can also be reviewed by the administrator for safeguarding. Parents must join the team with the parent role to access the player's conversations.
Use Report beside a group or direct message to raise a concern. The message and up to 20 recent messages in that conversation are captured for the site administrator, not shown to the reported sender. New messages are checked automatically against rules for secrecy, sexual requests, isolation, threats and serious distress. Flagged messages are preserved for administrator review. These are basic checks, not a guarantee that grooming or other harm will be detected; harmless messages may also be flagged.
Reports are not monitored continuously and no automatic referral is made to the police. Urgent concerns should be raised directly with the police or a trusted adult. Speak to a trusted adult, police or the NSPCC about child-safety concerns. To ask about safeguarding evidence or its retention, contact the Baseline team at support@baseline4tennis.co.uk.
For players under 18, a parent or guardian should create the account or agree to its use. Everyone in a junior's group should keep messages about tennis and appropriate for a young player. Parents can remove coaches from the group at any time. If you see anything concerning, report it in the app or contact the Baseline team at support@baseline4tennis.co.uk.
To correct or delete an account and its data, contact the Baseline team at support@baseline4tennis.co.uk. Information is not sold or used for advertising.
